Media Imaginations of Sinofuturism

While Hollywood conjures images of the past, could China conjure visions of the future? And what kind of future would that be? Professor Jeroen de Kloet from the University of Amsterdam will explore the notion of Sinofuturism (Lek, 2016) by drawing on artworks by figures such as Lawrence Lek, films like Frant Gwo's The Wandering Earth, and platformed AI works emerging from China.
