SFM Hosts Talk with Hong Kong Superstar Nicholas Tse

On 2 April, at HKU's Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, Nicholas Tse, Hong Kong's star singer, actor, TV chef, and entrepreneur, drew a full crowd of 800. He was joined on-stage by SFM Director Professor Ruby Yang for a conversation that covered his culinary brand "鋒味Chef Nic", his latest song《推倒重來》| Evolution, and his entrepreneurship journey.

The rapt audience heard Tse describe his life journey spanning multiple fields, including entertainment, food and beverage, technology, and business.

When asked how he went from singing to becoming a successful entrepreneur, Tse said, "I wanted to be a singer when I debuted, but I wasn't born with the best voice or the best rhythm. So I built around that craft."

"You do everything to support that thing you love. Then you might have a chance," he advised. "You find an opening, and you disrupt."
