Adrian Mak co-teaches JMSC2001 Media Law and Ethics, on the law of new media, covering artificial intelligence, platform governance and the creator economy.

He was the inaugural fellow of the Stanford Law School AI Initiative, where he ​supported Introduction to Content Moderation, taught by Prof. Nathaniel Persily with Meta's Vice President for Content Policy and YouTube's Global Head of Trust and Safety, and Governing Artificial Intelligence, a course cross-listed across computer science, law and policy departments.

He is Chief of Staff (Global Affairs) at AI Safety Asia and a co-founder of Anselmo Reyes KK, an international dispute resolution firm. In those capacities he works on AI, tech and new media-related policies and disputes. He co-edited Privacy and Personal Data Protection Law in Asia (Hart, 2025) and writes on AI liability, agentic systems and data protection. He is an adjunct lecturer at the School of Law, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

Adrian holds an LL.M. from Stanford Law School and BSocSc (Government and Laws), LLB and PCLL degrees from the University of Hong Kong. He trained at Slaughter and May.
