JMSC offered me a wide range of internship opportunities during my four years, spanning journalism, PR, and communications. My most recent internship was at Ruder Finn, a 4A PR firm.

During the internship, I spent three days a week gaining hands-on experience with client and brand image management, social media research and monitoring, as well as press release copywriting and translation. It was a valuable experience, as it provided insight into how the industry works for me, even as a student.

I think one of the most important experiences in university is trying out different kinds of internships. It helps me understand my field of study from a practical perspective, and rule out career paths that are not the best fit for my personality. Most importantly, it helps me realise what I’m interested in and passionate about.
