BJ Alumni Wins Yahoo! Student Journalist Award

Congratulations to Alison Chan and Prudence Lam (BJs 2024) for winning the Best News Report award in the Diversity and Inclusion category from the Yahoo! Student Journalist Award 2023-2024.

In their award-winning article, Alison and Prudence delved into the topic of Hong Kong's ageing population and the struggles the elderly residents face. They interviewed several people who are involved with the elderly community, including Legislative Councillor Tik Chi-yuen, social worker Deep Luk and Chow TV founder Wing Chow.

"We explored ageing in Hong Kong as a multifaceted issue," said Alison and Prudence. "And we hope to raise discussions on how to improve the quality of the elderly's life in the near future because, frankly, we all age."
